About the Event
Octoberfest is a fan favorite in Region IV due to its inclusion of super fun costume classes, loads of costume barrel classes as well as developmental classes. All FunFest classes and Barrel Classes include a costume allowed freestyle. The 2nd Annual Costume Contest is also back, and again open to everyone (not just vaulters - siblings, family members may join as well!)
In FunFest classes vaulters may choose to wear fun costumes with props allowed, as long as they are safe for horse and vaulter, including additional makeup, headwear, etc. Traditional vaulting costuming (unitards, etc.) are also allowed with no deduction in the regular FunFest classes (such as Preliminary Trot). Vaulters in USEF & AVA Recognized individual classes have the option to also enter a costume only freestyle individual class. The Costume Pairs and Team Freestyle classes are open to all vaulters.
