Horse of the Year Award

Scores from regionally sponsored events will contribute to an annual average score for horses competing in walk, trot, and canter classes.

Horses are eligible for any gait in which they compete. In the event that a horse has the highest average score in more than one gait, the award will be granted to that horse for only the highest level. For example: If a horse has the highest average score for both trot and canter, it will only be awarded the canter level Horse of the Year. If this occurs, the horse with the second highest average in the lower level will be granted the award for that level. Awards will be presented at the United States Equestrian Vaulting Region 4 Year End Awards.
